The artist behind

Bobbi Sue Photography

Hey! I’m Bobbi Sue - or Bobbi for short.

One thing to know about me is that I don’t do anything halfway, I only know how to do something with my whole heart, and that includes photography. I’m passionate about telling your wedding story in a documentary and artful way. I am so fortunate to be able to do this, and every wedding is special to me.

Outside of photography, my little family is made up of myself, my husband, and our three cats and I love spending time with all of them! I have a love of vintage, thrifting, travel, and food. I love a carefully curated cocktail (or dirty gin martini), and I collect vintage Pyrex, colored glass, and old film slides.

I tell wedding stories for all couples in love that appreciate authenticity over perfection in a warm, documentary, and artful manner.

I studied at Miami University, graduated with my bachelor’s degree in communications, and then immediately began working in the ‘real world’. During this time, I was a longtime admirer of all types of photography. Growing up though I never thought that this was an avenue that I would pursue. I spent my childhood in dance and music classes (I even started my college journey as a Music Education major!), but photography felt so intimidating and too out of reach.

Fast forward to a few years later, while searching for a photographer for my wedding, I stumbled upon an artist whose work stopped me in my tracks. I felt so much emotion for complete and utter strangers. This was a new feeling for me as I never knew wedding photography could be so beautifully raw while looking like art.

I instantly felt a new passion ignite and I knew I wanted to do the same. I wanted to create art that could transport someone right back to the moment, while simultaneously showing them the joy and raw emotions that their loved ones saw in them for that moment in time.

I dove in with everything I had and dedicated all of my available time to practicing my craft. I didn’t know if my unique approach would resonate with anyone, but I knew I had to try. Spoiler alert, it did resonate , and I am so incredibly grateful to be here today.

How it all

Began

I am admittedly a cat lady. My husband and I have 3 cats: Buffy (19), Asher (13), and Cliff (6)

I studied the bassoon and classical vocal performance, and even majored in Music Education for the beginning of my college career.

I love a good wine or dirty martini, traveling, and Taylor Swift. So when I had the opportunity to travel to London, visit a distillery, and see Taylor in concert this year it was pretty much the best thing ever.

Vintage and second - hand items (next to my family and kitties) are my favorite things. If I have a day to do nothing, you can likely find me thrifting and visiting local vintage shops.

I’m a huge football and Cincinnati Bengals fan! WHO DEY!

My husband and I were together for 15 years when he (finally) proposed!

Favorite Things

- HANNAH & RYAN

From the moment we met, she made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She has a unique ability to capture real, candid moments that we didn't even realize were happening. The photos came out stunning—more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. If you want photos that truly reflect your day, Bobbi Sue is the one!"

Working with Bobbi Sue was hands down the best decision we made for our wedding.

Moments that stand out

If you could see you the way I do.

Time is a thief and before we know it all we have are our memories. We carry those memories with us, but we never get to see ourselves experiencing the moments that matter the most. Never able to fully witness ourselves experiencing life with all the emotions and loved ones that come with it. These moments… this is how our people see and remember us…I aim to hold mirror to these changing pockets of time and show you how your people see you.
